‘My work starts from ideas and observations, that take me along lines of investigation to create the plates that will be used for my intaglio prints.

I may create collagraphs with cut and collaged cardboard plates, or etching plates from experiments in the techniques of aquataints, spitbite and soft-grounds.

I love the borderline between control and experimentation that can lead to unexpected results, and from which repeated play and explorations finally forms into series of images and textures around my theme.’
